BILLY S. LAWSON

Billy Lawson, also known as BSLART. I’m a multifaceted designer from the Bay Area, but my work has taken me across the Pacific Northwest, Australia, and the UK. The foundation of my creativity comes from a childhood filled with camping trips, time outdoors, and exposure to art and design through my family. Surrounded by both nature and eccentric creativity, I grew up seeing the world as something to explore, interpret, and express through design.

My design process is playful, emotional, and open-ended. I’m inspired by the natural world, by humor, and by the small, often-overlooked details of everyday life. I find beauty in the mundane and use color, pattern, and texture to demonstrate that beauty to others. An inherent need to explore all things creative has helped me develop a vast portfolio and a deep understanding of design principles across nearly ever medium. This versatility is central to my work: each discipline informs the other, and it’s in that crossover that my best ideas take shape.
